The Practice Nurses hold clinics Mon-Fri, an appointment should be made with the Nurse if you need immunisations, BP checks, cervical smears, dressings, blood samples, ear syringing etc.
The Nurses also hold various other clinics eg Travel Clinics, Asthma/Diabetes/IHD/Hypertension/Smoking Cessation and many more.

Practice Manager
Lina Dagiene is responsible for the overall management of the Practice. It is her responsibility to ensure that the day-to-day organisation and administration is managed in an efficient and caring manner allowing the doctors to devote as much time as possible to caring for their patients.
Lina should be able to help with any administrative or non-medical problem and is available Monday – Friday should you have any queries.

The admin team are fully trained and do a very difficult job. They are usually your first point of contact and will try to help you. The admin team deal with general queries, repeat prescriptions, appointments and results. The more information you are able to give them, the better they will be able to help you. All the administration team are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.

Community Midwives
If you are pregnant and will need to see the midwife, you no longer need to make an appointment with the GP; you can fill out a form at Reception and the Midwife will contact you direct to arrange to visit you at your home.
You only need to see the clinician if you no longer wish to continue with the pregnancy.

Community Nurses
The District Nursing Team deliver services to patients who are housebound and in need of Nursing Care.
The District Nurses also hold wound/dressings clinics at Houghton Health Centre, they can be contacted Mon – Fri on 01915025763.
