Booking an Appointment

If you need to make an appointment this can be done by:

  • Coming into the surgery and making the appointment at the desk
  • Telephoning the surgery on 0191 3852512 (Press Option 1)
  • Online booking (To do this you must register at the surgery first to get a password)

Make sure you have your appointment written down or in your phone, you would be surprised by how many people get the wrong day or time.

You may request to see the doctor of your choice, but this may mean waiting longer than usual for an appointment; if you wish to be seen sooner you can make an appointment with another Health Care Professional.

Non-urgent advice: Please note

Our busiest times are between 8.30 & 11am. Afternoons are usually quieter.

Please make sure to arrive 5 minutes before your appointment time.

An easier route to get an appointment is to register for our online appointments and prescription service, if you wish to do this please bring along to the surgery an original driving licence, passport or birth certificate.

Without sight of one of these we will not be able to register you.

Waiting Times

The doctor tries to give every patient as much time as he/she needs.

However, this could mean that your appointment time may be delayed; you will be informed of major delays.

If you no longer require your appointment then let the surgery know as soon as possible to enable us to offer this appointment to someone else.

Telephone Advice

At times, patients may feel it is not necessary to make an appointment to see the GP, but may have some concerns regarding immediate health issues; in this instance you can make a request for the GP to telephone you.

The receptionist will take all calls for telephone advice and will ask for details. At no time will the GPs discuss medical reports etc.

This is only for medical advice.
