We are busy piloting a new appointment system.
The practice operates an appointment system. Please telephone the dedicated appointment line. You may request to see the doctor of your choice, but this may mean waiting longer than usual for an appointment. If you wish to be seen sooner you can make an appointment with another Health Care Professional
Appointment Line - 0191 385 2512
Press Option 1
Please note our busiest times are between 8.30 & 11am. Afternoons are usually quieter.
An easier route to get an appointment is to register for our on line appointments and prescription service. If you wish to do this please bring along to the surgery an original driving licence, passport or birth certificate. Without sight of one of these we will not be able to register you.
The doctor tries to give every patient as much time as he/she needs. However, this could mean that your appointment time may be delayed. You will be informed of major delays. If you no longer require your appointment then let the surgery know as soon as possible to enable us to offer this appointment to someone else.
At times, patients may feel it is not necessary to make an appointment to see the GP, but may have some concerns regarding immediate health issues. In this instance you can make a request for the GP to telephone you. The receptionist will take all calls for telephone advice and will ask for details. At no time will the GPs discuss medical reports etc. This is only for medical advice.
Emergency surgery is for patients suffering that day from a serious medical problem that cannot wait for an appointment. We appreciate that at times patients need to be seen the same day due to illness and a member of the Primary Care Team will see you At times we may change the times of appointments to fit in with patient demands. Any temporary changes will be displayed on a notice in the reception areas
