Information for patients with Learning Disabilities

Westbourne Medical Group is a designated Safeplace.

Safeplace

Sometimes people with learning disabilities when they out out can get worried or scared, this might be because of lots of things:

Someone is hassling them

Gangs making them feel scared

They are lost

They are confused about something

They have lost their money or bus pass or mobile or may have had them stolen

These are just a few reason. Here at Westbourne by being a safe place and displaying the logo, anyone who needs help knows they can come in and that the staff are fully trained to support them.
