New - Sunderland Information Point
Thank you to all patients who nominated us for the GP PRACTICE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2018. We did not win this year but we were delighted to have been shortlisted for the award alongside three other practices across Sunderland and South Tyneside.
PLEASE ONLY CALL 999 OR ATTEND A&E FOR LIFE THREATENING ILLNESS/INJURIES.. USE THE LOCAL PHARMACY OR URGENT CARE CENTRES FOR ANYTHING THAT IS NOT AN ACCIDENT OR AN EMERGENCY. Thankyou
We would like to inform you that GP's in Sunderland do not prescribe antibiotics for infections which usually get better on their own such as colds. We would recommend that you visit your pharmacist for advice if you are suffering from these sorts of conditions.
Dr Suzanne McKay is your named GP although you can see any clinician
Feeling unwell when the surgery is closed
Try the Pharmacy or if you need medical help fast but
ITS NOT life threatening dial 111
Lets keep 999 for life threatening conditions
RINGING FOR RESULTS
If you have investigations or tests carried out during a hospital attendance it is their responsibility to inform you of the result. We are responsible for tests and investigations done at our request.
We will try, where possible, to provide the result on behalf of the hospital if they are unable to but results can take longer to reach the Practice. Please do not get upset with Staff if the result is not returned within the timescale suggested by the hospital.
If your test was carried out at the practice, please contact the practice after 5 working days.
Thank you for your co-operation.
